ডালিয়া ফুলের পাপড়ির দৃষ্টিনন্দন বিন্যাস ও বর্ণ বৈচিত্র্যের জন্য এটি সবার কাছে অত্যন্ত জনপ্রিয়। ডালিয়া ফুল বিভিন্ন আকারের ও লাল, সাদা, কমলা, বেগুনি, হলুদসহ বিভিন্ন রঙের হয় শুধু নীল আর সবুজ রঙ ছাড়া।উন্নত জাতের মধ্যে রয়েছে- সিঙ্গল, স্টার, অ্যানেমিন ফাওয়ার্ড, কলারেট, পিওনি ফাওয়ার্ড, ফরমাল ডেকোরেটিভ, ইন ফরমাল ডেকোরেটিভ, ডবল শো ফ্যান্সি, পম্পন, রয়্যাল হোয়াইন, ক্যাকটাস, ভ্যারাইটি গার্ল প্রভৃতি।এই ফুলের নামকরণ করা হয় সুইডেনের বিখ্যাত উদ্যানতত্ত্ববিদ আন্দ্রেডালের নামানুসারে।
শাখা কলম থেকে বংশবিস্তার
আপনি নার্সারি থেকে ডালিয়ার কলম চারা সংগ্রহ বা আপনার বাগানে গাছ থাকলে নিজে কলম করে নিতে পারেন। শাখা কলম তৈরি করার ভালো ও উপযুক্ত সময় হলো পৌষ থেকে মাঘ মাস পর্যন্ত(August to September)। শাখা কলম করার জন্য সুস্থ সবল শাখা নির্বাচন করতে হয় এবং যে পর্যন্ত কাটিং তৈরি করার জন্য উপযুক্ত ঠিক সেখানে ধারালো ছুড়ি দিয়ে ছাল কেটে নিতে হয়। কাটিং এ বেশি পরিমাণে ও তাড়াতাড়ি শিকড় গজানোর জন্য ডালগুলোর নিচে কাটা অংশে সামান্য পরিমাণ সেরাডিক্স বি১ হরমোন বা সুরটেক্স উদ্ভিদ হরমোন মাখিয়ে নিলে দ্রুত কলম তৈরি করা যায়। সাত থেকে আট দিনের মধ্যে ডালিয়ার শাখা কলমে শেকড় আসে।
চারা রোপণ
ডালিয়া চাষের যন্ন জমিতে ৬০ থেকে ৯০ সেন্টিমিটার দূরত্বে সারিবদ্ধভাবে চারা গাছ রোপন করতে হবে ও টবে একটি চারা রোপণ করতে হয়। টবের আকার ১০ থেকে ১২ ইঞ্চি আকারের টব হলে ভালো।
মাটি ও সার
ডালিয়া ফুলের চাষের জন্য জৈব পদার্থ সমৃদ্ধ সুনিষ্কাশিত দো-আঁশ ও বেলে মাটি চন্দ্রমল্লিকা চাষের জন্য উপযোগী। মাটির পিএইচ ৬.০-৭.০ হওয়া জরুরি। ফুলের উজ্জ্বলতা এবং গাছের রোগপ্রতিরোধ ক্ষমতা বাড়াতে ফসফেট ও পটাশ সার ব্যবহার করা ভালো। তবে টবে চারা রোপণের ক্ষেত্রে প্রতি টবে ২০ গ্রাম টিএসপি, ১০ গ্রাম এমওপি ও ১০ গ্রাম ইউরিয়া সার প্রয়োগ করতে পারেন(ডিমের খোসারা ডাস্ট ও কলার খোসারা ডাস্ট এক চামচ করে গাছের গোডাই দিতে পারেন)। টবে রোপণের জন্য ১০ থেকে ১২ ইঞ্চি আকারের টব হলে ভালো।
জল প্রয়োগ
ডালিয়া গাছের প্রচুর জল দিতে হয় তবে কুড়ি আসার পর জল অল্প পরিমানে ঘন ঘন দিলে ভালো হয়। গাছের গোড়ার মাটি ঝুরঝুরে ও আগাছা মুক্ত রাখতে হবে। তবে চারা ছোট থাকা অবস্থায় সপ্তাহে একবার এবং সেচ দেয়ার আগে মাটি আলগা ও আগাছা পরিস্কার করে নিবেন।ভালো যত্ন করলে মার্চ পর্যন্ত ফুল ফোটে।ডালিয়া চাষ করতে আবহাওয়া অনুযায়ী ব্যবস্থা নিতে হবে। যেদিন বৃষ্টি হবে সেদিন থেকে যতদিন পর্যন্ত মাটি স্যাঁতসেঁতে থাকবে ততদিন পানি দেওয়ার দরকার নেই। আবার গরমের সময়ে মাটি যখন শুকনো হয়ে ওঠে তখন পানির পরিমাণ বাড়িয়ে মাটি আর্দ্র করে তুলতে হবে। কারণ ডালিয়া গাছের জন্য আর্দ্র মাটি প্রয়োজন।
পোকামাকড়
সাধারণ পোকামাকড়ের হাত থেকে গাছ কে বাঁচাতে ১৫ দিন অন্তর অন্তর নিম জল গাছে স্প্রে করতে পারেন| জাব পোকা, থ্রিপস ও দুই ধরনের মাকড় ডালিয়া গাছের বেশি ক্ষতি করে থাকে। জাব পোকা ও থ্রিপস ডালিয়া গাছের পাতা, কুঁড়ি ও ফুলের রস শোষণ করে গাছ নষ্ট করে। জাব পোকা ও থ্রিপস দমনের জন্য মাত্রা অনুযায়ী সাইফানন ৫৭ ইসি স্প্রে করতে হবে এবং মাকড়ের আক্রমন ঠেকাতে মাত্রা অনুযায়ী কেলথেন প্রয়োগ করতে পারেন।
বংশবিস্তার পদ্ধতি
ডালিয়া ফুল বীজ, কন্দ ও শাখা কলম পদ্ধতিতে বংশবিস্তার করা যায় তবে বীজ থেকে সিঙ্গেল ডালিয়া ফুলের চারা উৎপাদন হয়। তাই ডাবল ফুল উৎপাদনের জন্য অঙ্গজ পদ্ধতিতে বংশবিস্তার করতে হয়। অঙ্গজ পদ্ধতিতে বংশবিস্তারের ক্ষেত্রে কন্দমূল বা শাখা কমল রোপণ করতে হয়। টবে ডালিয়া ফুলের চাষ করতে সবচেয়ে ভালো পদ্ধতি হলো শাখা কলম।

Planting
Plants
On the land of Dahlia cultivation, seedlings should be planted in
60-90 cm distance and planting a sapling on the soil. If the size of the tub is
10 to 12 inches sized tub is good.
Soil
and fertilizer
